Bitcoin jobs fastest growing sector in employment industry

In addition to price surges, Bitcoin proved to be the world’s leading creator of jobs.
A CNBC reporter recently reported that jobs related to the cryptocurrency giant, Bitcoin, are the fastest growing sector when it comes to employment in the international marketplace. This is especially true on international job platforms such as Freelancer. This industry has experienced a growth of 82% in 2017's third quarter alone. Freelancer.com has also confirmed that there is a definite growing trend in favor of jobs in the Bitcoin industry.

Freelancer.com originated in Australia and is, according to the site, the world's single largest freelancing, and crowdsourcing platform. The website's statistics boasts over 25,986,955 different employers as well freelancers from over 247 different regions worldwide.

In their latest Fast 50 Report, Freelancer.com stated that despite China’s ban on ICOs and cryptocurrency activity, the market continues to flourish at unprecedented speeds. The freelancing platform has also confirmed that cryptography will be a trending industry in the future. The report discussed the growing trend of Bitcoin-related jobs under the heading "One to Watch". According to the report, Bitcoin-related jobs were one of the leading emerging skills in the employment sector during the third quarter of the year where the sector grew by 82%. In addition, the cryptography industry also grew with 59%. According to Freelancer.com CEO, Matt Barrie, Freelancer’s collective community have experts in over 1000 different areas.

The company’s latest report seemed to put particular emphasis on the growing industry of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. After a general market round-up, the report stated that Bitcoin will become a major source of job creation, especially considering the recent surge in Bitcoin prices. However, job opportunities will stretch far beyond merely mining and rigging cryptocurrencies.

Several projects recently posted on the platform called for all sorts of cryptocurrency experts, including ICO designers, CTOs with a background in Bitcoin, altcoin currency designers, blockchain whitepaper experts, as well as content writers for cryptocurrency websites and cryptocurrency gambling experts.

Another catalyst in the growing trend could perhaps be the endorsement that cryptocurrency has received from leading financial experts all over the world. This includes the International Monetary Fund's (IMF's) chief, Christine Lagarde, who recently addressed the world's most prominent figures in banking about the importance of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.

However, Freelancer is not the only job platform that is enthusiastic about the Bitcoin industry. The sentiment has also been echoed by Angel List, another freelancing platform. According to Angel List’s data, during the first half of 2017, there was more capital invested in blockchain-based startups, than all startups combined in the previous year. Angel List stated that with the high-growth rate experienced by the cryptocurrency industry, they are able to invest large amounts of money in finding the very best talent for their projects. The firm also stated that a number of Bitcoin-related jobs on their site have doubled within the last six months

The company concluded by stating that Bitcoin-related jobs stretch far beyond developers and engineers. The industry calls for diverse talent, including marketers, writers, business development experts, customer support assistants, and several other positions that don't necessarily require technical knowledge.
