InstantBitex claims to be registered in the UK and offers trading in almost 40 coins across 4 markets. As a matter of fact, even though the exchange reports more than $7M daily volume, there is no actual trading happening on the platform and most of the numbers are probably faked.
There are countless reports in the BitcoinTalk forums, the Telegram group and various online forums claiming the exchange is not honoring withdrawals, and that upon making a request to withdraw funds the "admin has to confirm" it. The "admin" is CEO William Son, probably the only person working at the exchange, who has no profile picture on his LinkedIn profile and no prior experience - alongside zero information on him anywhere online.
Taking into account all of the above, we strongly believe InstantBitex is a scheme designed to steal money from innocent users and implore anyone to stay away from it.
